John Tellam

E-mail Print PDF

John Tellam is Professor of Hydrogeology at the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Birmingham. John has a special interest in the development of methods for predicting solute and particle movement through sandstones, taking the UK Permo-Triassic sequence as the main example. Research has ranged from laboratory-scale reacting and unreacting solute experimental studies, to field scale investigations and experimentation. Often this work has been in the context of urban groundwater issues, and has centred more recently on surface reactions, including major ion and NH4 exchange, particle and bioparticle (virus) / rock interactions, and is now moving into metal sorption.
